Project

Increased opportunities for women and youth in a straightened market for EE construction and renovation in NM, Kosovo and BIH – RECONOMY

RECONOMY is a project financed by Helvetas (Switzerland) through the organization CePROSard (North Macedonia) for interventions in the field of energy efficiency as a country manager in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro. One of the interventions of the project is support for a sustainable education system for installers and service technicians in this field.
Each intervention consists of technical and financial support, especially in fields that can contribute to greater and better employment of young people and women. As part of the project, conversations/interviews are held with students on the market in order to define all the obstacles for “green investments”, where the second phase would be overcoming those obstacles.

Key activities

• Manage and implement energy efficiency interventions in BiH and Montenegro.

• Provide technical and financial support to local stakeholders in the green sector.

• Develop and support a sustainable education/training system for installers and technicians.

• Facilitate youth and women’s employment through targeted capacity building.

• Conduct market interviews with students to identify barriers to green investments.

• Plan second-phase actions to address and overcome identified barriers.
