This project focuses on promoting the importance of renewable energy sources (RES), energy efficiency (EE), and environmental protection (EP) through the use of photovoltaic (PV) power plants for electricity production. It is essential to create a vivid image of all the benefits that such a project and its activities can bring to society. In recent years, the number of PV power plants in Bosnia and Herzegovina has significantly increased; however, this number is still negligible compared to the EU and other developed countries that heavily invest in PV power plants and other renewable energy sources.
The expected results are aimed at raising awareness among decision-makers about the importance of promoting renewable energy sources in daily activities, working with public and private sectors, and during budget planning for NGOs in this field.

Key activities
• Organizing three (3) workshops/webinars for potential future owners of distributed solar power plants
• Preparing, developing, printing, and publishing the “Guide for Developing Distributed PV Power Plants”
• Developing a web campaign on a website to provide essential information to support the development of PV power plants in local communities
Key partners
Environmental Protection Fund of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina
Project duration
January 2022 – December 2022
Activities
By the end of the project, awareness of solar energy benefits was raised among local stakeholders through workshops, an informative guide, and a digital campaign, encouraging wider adoption of distributed PV systems in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
