Project

3GREEN – Three Generations of the Green Revolution

The project 3GREEN – Three Generations of the Green Revolution aims to strengthen citizens’ knowledge and awareness about the importance of selective waste collection, the development of a circular economy, and the potential of green entrepreneurship. By focusing on three key generational groups – high school students, young people seeking employment, and the elderly—the project contributes to building sustainable habits and fostering active community participation in environmental protection.
Through the organization of educational workshops and interactive activities, the project provides opportunities for non-formal education, practical application of the concept of waste as a resource, and the development of green business ideas. A special emphasis is placed on young people, who, as agents of change, can spread the practices they learn within their families and local communities, as well as on older individuals who, although often overlooked, can serve as key transmitters of knowledge and experience in the field of reuse and creating useful items from waste.
By fostering this generational synergy, the project directly contributes to environmental protection, the promotion of the circular economy, the activation of local communities, and the creation of conditions for the development of green entrepreneurship. In addition, the project is aligned with European waste management directives and supports local efforts in the transition toward more sustainable and resilient urban development.

Key activities

• Education of high school students on selective waste collection, waste management, and recycling, including a visit to a recycling yard and a competition in preparing presentations on the theme of waste as a resource.

• Workshops for elderly persons, organized in cooperation with the Center for Healthy Aging, involving the practical creation of items from bulky waste and a final exhibition of the produced works.
