With Kick-off meeting InterReg Med – SISMA PLUS project started

Today, with the kick-off meeting, the activities of SISMA PLUS started, a project that will help the Municipalities of the Mediterranean area fund the energy redevelopment projects of their buildings.

The project is a continuation of SISMA project -Energy retrofit in Public Buildings, developed between 2016 and 2018, and funded by Interreg MED Programme. With the current project proposal, we aim to capitalize on the results achieved within SISMA.

The aim of SISMA was to develop innovative financing from various sources to local administrations to finance investment projects that lead to deep energy retrofit of public buildings. To facilitate the assessment of the economic return on investments in energy efficiency and, in particular, to determine the minimum amount of public subsidy needed to make an investment bankable an Excel® tool called SET – Subsidy Evaluation Tool was developed. The SET carries out an energy and economic-financial evaluation of ECMs (Energy Conservation Measures) and can be used for the following four types of public buildings: schools, gyms, office buildings and health care structures (nursing homes/rest homes).

SISMA PLUS project will be implemented together with partners: APE FVG (Energy Agency of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy), Golea (Goriška Local Energy Agency Nova Gorica, Slovenija), Città metropolitana di Bologna (Metropolitan city of Bologna, Italy), Energap (Energy Agency for Podravje, Slovenija), ENA-Agência de Energia e Ambiente da Arrábida (Energy and Environment Agency of Arrábida – Portugal).

For Bosnia and Herzegovina, Center for Energy, Energy Efficiency and Environment, together with Environment Protection Fund of the FBIH as Associative partner will implement activities within 5 municipal authorities.
